Alloy Wire International Launches New Technical Brochure

The industry publication for round, shaped profile, wire rope and electrical resistance wire has been launched and is proving an immediate hit.

Alloy Wire International used its recent appearance at Wire 2016 to showcase its brand new brochure, an 84-page publication listing more than 60 different types of exotic nickel alloys, including Inconel®, Nimonic®, Hastelloy ̆ and Ni-Span C902®.

This brochure provides specification data sheets on each alloy, detailing useful information on post heat treatment guidance and mechanical properties, both useful to customers when designing wire forms.

More than 300 copies have been picked up or sent out to existing and potential customers from the automotive, aerospace, defence, oil and gas, medical and nuclear sectors.

The glossy A4 publication is heading across the world too, with destinations ranging from Istanbul, Nairobi, Sydney and Shanghai.

The Alloy Wire Technical Brochure is always very well received, but this year it has surpassed our expectations. A number of customers have been waiting for the brochure to be produced as it gives them such a definitive range of information on all of the alloys we supply in one place.

Mark Venables, Managing Director of Alloy Wire International.

He continued: “With such a lot of data it can be quite difficult to read so we have spent a lot of time improving the design and layout and feel very proud of this next generation publication.

“100 were picked up during Wire 2016, with a further 200 people requesting copies. We’ve printed 1000 brochures, but if demand dictates we will increase the print run.”

Alloy Wire, which is celebrating its 70th year in business in 2016, has grown into one of the world’s premier manufacturers of wire, supplying 4000 customers in 15 sectors.

An extensive stockholding of materials, ability to provide small batch quantities and 2 to 3 week lead times has seen its wire sold to more than 45 countries across the world.

The company has recently added high performance alloys Nitronic 50͋ (0.025 to 5.50mm) and Super Duplex (0.025 to 6.50mm) to its extended range and can now draw from 21mm in a lot of different alloys.

In addition to all the technical information, we wanted to give people a flavour of Alloy Wire International and the special culture that makes us different to our competitors. “The front of our brochure looks at the sectors we serve, our global reach and our commitment to investing in the latest technology and our people.

Mark Venables, Managing Director of Alloy Wire International.
