Rosti Group to Build Another Manufacturing Facility near Shanghai

The Rosti Group’s Technical Plastics Division signed a contract to buy approximately 40,000 m2 land in the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) near Shanghai in the People’s Republic of China. Rosti is already present in SIP with 3 manufacturing facilities. The newly acquired land is located a few kilometres from the original manufacturing site, which Rosti established in 2001.

Rosti’s intention is to establish a Wholly-Owned-Foreign-Enterprise and erect a new production facility of approximately 10,000 m2. The aim is to commence the construction work in the second quarter of 2006 and have the facility ready for use before the end of 2006.

The additional production capacity is needed to meet the growing interest from international customers in the integrated manufacturing solutions that Rosti provides, mainly within the Business Machine, Domestic Appliances and Automotive segments.
With the new land, Rosti has initiated the first step in a growth plan for the activities in Asia, where the new site in Suzhou is likely to function as a regional head quarter.
