The Nylis spectrometer is the first compact Czerny-Turner array spectrometer to deliver optical resolution as low as 0.06 nm (FWHM).
Derived from the widely used Aris spectrometer, the Nylis incorporates an expanded focal length of 120 mm within a longer housing. This allows for superior optical imaging alongside smaller wavelength spans. Combined, these enhancements yield spectral resolutions previously unachieved in a device of this scale.
The Nylis comes in 10 standard wavelength options, which can be tailored to meet specific application needs. It includes a standard 10 µm entrance slit together with a 4096-pixel CMOS sensor.
Owing to its increased focal length and reduced entrance slit size, the Nylis exhibits less sensitivity compared to the Aris spectrometer. It is designed mainly for tasks demanding fine resolution rather than elevated sensitivity, such as assessing laser emissions.

Resolutions are given for the default 10 µm entrance slit. A larger entrance slit typically increases both the resolution and the sensitivity proportional to its width. The wavelength accuracy is typically one-third of the resolution.
