Tensiometer for Measuring the Interfacial Tension of Transformer Oils

Scientific Solutions has an exclusive distribution agreement with KSV Instruments, Finland as the national Australian and New Zealand distributor of all KSV products.

Sigma 702ET is a dedicated tensiometer for measuring the interfacial tension of transformer oils according to ASTM-D971 and IEC60422.

After many years of experience building tensiometers, KSV can guarantee that the Sigma 702ET is user friendly and reliable, requiring no previous knowledge of interfacial tension measurement. The step-by-step instructions on the large LCD display ensure fail-safe measurement every time!

The tensiometer has a super-sensitive microbalance with transport locking and overload protection, optimized for Surface tension/Interfacial tension measurements. The experimental area is illuminated and specially coated for easy cleaning.

The motor-driven sample stage has a high resolution movement control with a built in magnetic stirrer

Operation interface is via the built-in touchpad for chamber illumination, stage up/down drive, magnetic stirrer and measurement initiation.

The turn-key package satisfies ASTM-D971 and IEC60422 standard measurement, including Sample vessels, DuNouy ring, Density kit, Motorized sample stage and Magnetic stirrer

The software to measure to the above standards is embedded in the instrument. Step by step instructions are displayed.

There is an RS-232C connection to optional printer and a USB-connection for data output to optional external PC computer is available via a PC software module which reads the data to an ASCII file and/or Spread sheet, such as Microsoft Excel.
