Akzo Nobel Bid Values ICI at 12 Billion Pounds

Following duscussions with the board of ICI, Akzo Nobel have made a further indicative proposal of 670p per share to acquire ICI. This latest offer values ICI at 12 billion pounds, up from their previous offer of 8 billion pounds.

This deal was made possible by Akzo Nobel agreeing to Sell ICI's Adhesives and Electronic Materials business to Henkel KGaA upon completing the acquisition of ICI.
