Axion Polymers has been created to produce high grade polymer compounds for re-use in new products and equipment. Available in different grade depending on the specification required, these polymers are designed for a wide range of applications such as computer, electrical, electronic and automotive components.
Axion Polymers has built one of the most advanced plastics recycling factories in Europe to separate and compound recycled plastics initially from Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), with the potential to develop recycling routes for additional plastics from other sources.
Recent investment includes state-of-the-art equipment and qualified, experienced staff to conduct extensive plastics process testing techniques at Axion Polymers' 40,000 sq ft premises in Salford, Greater Manchester. Here Axion's growing team has developed market-leading technical processes to ensure consistent product quality to required technical specifications.
Mixed and contaminated thick-walled plastics of all Polymer types can be processed successfully into high quality recyclate suitable for re-use in injection moulding and extrusion processes.
Typical waste plastic sources targeted by Axion
- Refrigerator plastic fractions
- IT dismantling
- CRT recycling
- Mixed household WEEE (including mixed polymers from bulk WEEE shredding)
- Industrial waste plastics (pipes, conduits, crates, stillages, etc)
- End-of-life (ELV) vehicles (bumpers, dashboards, separated shredder residue plastic fraction)
- Waste rigid plastics from the food/beverage/chemical industries
