The UNS numbers C10100 to C13000 indicate pure copper. Pure copper is used in applications requiring high electrical and thermal conductivity. Fabrication and Heat Treatment
The machinability the UNS C12900 copper alloy is rated at 20.
Welding methods including soldering, brazing, gas shielding and butt welding are preferred. Methods like oxyacetylene welding, coated metal arc welding, spot welding and seam welding are not recommended.
The forging temperature for UNS C12900 copper alloy ranges between 760 and 954ºC (1400 and 1750ºF).
UNS C12900 copper alloys have excellent hot working abilities.
UNS C12900 copper alloys have excellent cold working properties.
UNS C12900 copper alloys are annealed at temperatures ranging from 398 and 648ºC (750 and 1200ºF).
