New High Temperature Ceramic Adhesive by Aremco Products Inc.

Ceramabond™ 671, a new high temperature ceramic adhesive developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to assemble high temperature thermocouple housings used in boiler, furnace, and stack applications to 3200 F (1760 ºC).

New Visikol Formulation Effectively Clears Organisms to be Viewed Under Microscopes

Researchers at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and City University of New York have invented a proprietary new formulation called VisikolTM that effectively clears organisms to be viewed under microscopes. Visikol can be used in place of chloral hydrate, which is one of the few high-quality clearing solutions currently available but which is tightly regulated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) due to its use as a narcotic.

Strength of Iron Found to be Weak Under Extreme Pressures

The massive ball of iron sitting at the center of Earth is not quite as "rock-solid" as has been thought, say two Stanford mineral physicists. By conducting experiments that simulate the immense pressures deep in the planet's interior, the researchers determined that iron in Earth's inner core is only about 40 percent as strong as previous studies estimated.
