BaySpec Introduce New NIR Raman Spectrograph

AMS Technologies announces that BaySpec, Inc. has introduced the latest in its line of high performance SuperGamutTM NIR spectral engines, the NunavutTM long-wavelength NIR raman spectrograph.

Designed to replace bulky, slow FT-IR systems, the NunavutTM features a dispersive f/2 design with no moving parts, high throughput, in a compact package. The NunavutTM is ideal for measuring biological/tissue samples around 1064nm thereby avoiding high fluorescent background at 785nm. Spectral resolution is 8 cm-1 with spectral coverage up to 3300 cm-1 and S/N up to 8000:1.

The special design along with its outstanding performance makes this system suitable for many applications where small compact size, lightweight and low power consumption counts.

The applications of the portable NunavutTM long-wavelength NIR raman spectrograph are wide spread and cover many usages in the pharmaceutical industry, medical diagnostics, biomedical research, food industry, water quality monitoring, chemistry, mining as well as counterfeit detection, law enforcement and homeland security.
