Bemis to Acquire DuPont's Clysar Businesses

Bemis Company Inc have announced that they have reached an agreement to acquire the global Clysar operations of DuPont. Clysar is a polyolefin over-wrap used in display protective packaging and food markets. The deal is expected to be completed by early August.

The acquisition of Clysar increases Bemis’s product range and coverage in the industrial shrink film market as well as bringing patented technology and customer distribution networks. It will also open the door for their research engineers to develop new packaging solutions for the food and consumer markets.

Clysar currently have operations in Clinton Iowa and Le Trait France, which will come under Bemis ownership at the conclusion of the deal.
