Icon Polymer Buys Contitech's BCD Business

Icon Polymer have just consolidated their position as a leader in the Brake Chamber Diaphragm (BCD) market by acquiring the BCD division of Contitech VC in Germany. In fact the acquisition will push Icon into the number two position in the global market.

The purchase involves the acquisition of all assets and intellectual property of Contitech’s BCD business. The business will be integrated into Icon’s existing business at their Nottinghamshire (UK) headquarters.

The new business also adds to their range of rubber components range that it supplies to aerospace, automotive, domestic appliances, defence and pharmaceuticals.
