China Prosperity Announces Successful Start-Up of PTA Plant

China Prosperity (Jiangyin) Petrochemical and INVISTA Performance Technologies (IPT), an integrated manufacturer of fibers and polymers, have proclaimed that China Prosperity’s PTA facility, which has an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons, has successfully initiated its operation.

China Prosperity uses INVISTA’s PTA process technology at the PTA facility located in Shizhuang chemical concentration area Jiangyin economic and technical development zone. IPT offers the PTA technology as a license package.

The General Manager of IPT, Mike Pickens, commented that the PTA facility has already surpassed its design flowsheet rate within a few days following its initiation. It has set a new benchmark in the company’s relationship with Jiangyin Chengxing Industrial Group, Pickens said.
