MetoKote, a coating specialist, announced that it is has achieved a major milestone by earning the tier one status and by gaining membership in the Bluegrass Automotive Manufacturers Association (BAMA).
MetoKote San Antonio - Flex E-coat Line
The tier one distinction has been earned for Toyota Motor Manufacturing. MetoKote, the North America’s first coating Services Company to earn this status, delivers electro-deposition (e-coat) application services to Tacoma and Tundra truck window frames of Toyota. The services are offered through the company’s facility in San Antonio, Texas.
The San Antonio plant in the Toyota campus is on a shipment window of 12 hours with the automobile manufacturer. The Metokote inventory tracking system (MITS) is integrated with electronic data interchange technology of Toyota. The integration helps to manage the number of parts received, their exact position in the coating process and the time for delivery. MetoKote has collaborated with Toyota’s two main product partners to offer e-coat services to Toyota directly. Metokote also maintains six sigma quality levels.
