Clean Diesel Technologies, an integrated producer and marketer of emissions control products and systems for the light duty vehicle and heavy duty diesel markets, and Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha (TKK) have entered an agreement to deliver catalyst engineering and support services for Mixed Phase Catalyst (MPC) emission control technology installation in the Chinese market. TKK is a joint venture partner of Clean Diesel Technologies in the Asia Pacific.
TTK and CDGM Glass are forming a joint venture to manufacture and distribute the catalysts to the automobile industry in China. CDGM Glass is one of China’s leading optoelectronic materials suppliers.
Under the terms of the agreement, the emission control technology of Clean Diesel Technologies will be integrated with the industrial products manufacturing capabilities of TKK and CDGM’s expertise in the Chinese automobile sector. Clean Diesel Technologies will support TTK to establish a catalyst manufacturing venture in China. Clean Diesel will get $1.45 million for the current project.
Clean Diesel Technologies’ CEO, Charles Call stated that the partnership with TKK supports commercialization of the MPC catalyst technology in the rapidly growing Chinese market.
