New Fluorosilicone Gel from NuSil Technology

NuSil Technology has expanded its myriad fluorosilicone product portfolio with the addition of a new two-part fluorosilicone gel that is resistant to hydrocarbons. The FS-3502-1 is suitable for electronic applications where fuel and solvent resistance properties are required.

FS-3502-1

The 100 mol% white gel is ideal for components that are exposed to solvents used in aerospace, electronics and automotive applications; and aviation fuels like JP-8 and chemicals. The product is offered in a mix of 1:1 ratio and is available in white color. It adheres easily with a majority of surfaces and curing can be done using heat.

When compared to other fluorosilicone materials, the FS-3502-1 has low viscosity. Other features of the gel are self-leveling, minimal contamination, non-corrosive properties, low moisture permeability and low shrinkage after curing process. The fluorosilicone material absorbs stresses produced during thermal cycling and displays low modulus.

The FS-3502-1 complies with RoHS and can be color-matched based on the Federal Standards or Pantone Matching System (PMS).
