Metso will deliver mineral processing devices to Taigang Group Lanxian Mining (TISCO), a leading producer of stainless steel.

TISCO has placed an order for wear and spare parts and seven types of vertical plate pressure filters. The order also includes commissioning, installation, technical supervision, and start-up services. The order was placed for enhancing concentrate filtering carried out in TISCO’s Yuanjiacun iron ore processing facility based in Shanxi province. The processing plant is anticipated to begin the processing operations during the month of May, 2012. The plant’s per day processing capacity is expected to process iron ore concentrate weighing 22,000 to 23,000 tons.
TISCO’s Yuanjiacun iron ore processing plant was developed to process 22 million tons of raw iron ore every year. The plant, when completed, would become the only large-scale iron ore processing unit throughout China.
VPA2050 is a medium-sized pressure filter functioning between 6 to 10 bars of pressure range. This type of pressure filter is solely based on the dewatering concept of air through-blow dewatering. The principle behind this concept is that when water is passed via a filter cake, it gets displaced by air. Generally, these filters are utilized in filtering industrial minerals, coal, tailings, and metallic minerals.
Metso has provided important devices such as SAG grinding mills, vibrating screens, and gyratory crusher to Yuanjiacun iron ore plant right from 2009.
