Fisker Automotive Selects Clean Diesel Technologies

Fisker Automotive, an American producer of premium electric vehicles, has chosen Clean Diesel Technologies, a vertically integrated manufacturer and distributor of emissions control products and systems, as an exclusive catalyst supplier.

Clean Diesel supplies catalysts based on the patented mixed phase catalyst (MPC) technology for use in Fisker's new and world-class style luxury sedan, Karma. The shipment of the vehicle to retailers in Europe and the U.S. will start soon and the delivery of catalysts has begun in the first quarter of 2011.

Karma is the first high performance electric vehicle in the world developed with an extended range (EVer) and it is expected to create new standards for environmental accountability and sustainability.

CEO of Clean Diesel, Charles Call commented that the company has been constantly working in the research and development of highly cost-effective solutions for use in automotive catalytic converters. The initiative has led to the development of the patented catalyst technology that meets the high performance requirements of Fisker.

The company provides several products to address the high performance standards at decreased precious metal levels. Also, the design flexibility of the MPC technology enables sustainable use of valuable resources that allows the clients to meet the growing emission control requirements.
