APS Unveils New Series of Thermoplastic Elastomers

Polymax Maxelast C-Series thermoplastic elastomers

Polymax Maxelast C-Series of TPEs has several potential applications that range from soft gel shoe insoles through health and exercise equipment to harder TPE grades for child and pet toys. In addition, the materials have several personal care and consumer applications.

APS’ Maxelast C-Series materials are non-toxic, latex and phthalate-free and odorless. This environmentally friendly TPE line is one of the widest ranges of Shore A hardnesses of TPEs that are available in the marketplace. The new TPEs can be overmolded onto polystyrene or polypropylene and are seen as an ideal alternative to PVC and silicone. The ultra-soft TPE grades are suitable for exercise equipment and gel shoe insoles that requires softness and durability in terms of rapid elastic recovery and mechanical strength.

APS is a provider of warehousing, distribution, shipping and technical services to TPU, TPE and other elastomer processors and marketers. The company is now distributing BASF Elastollan TPS and Polymax Maxelast TPEs. APS partners and works with several independent technical agents for product distribution across North America.
