Ampac Unveils New Packaging Format

A new flexible packaging format has been launched by Ampac, a packaging specialist. Butterfly Pack is a user-friendly dispensing sachet that has been developed for single-handed dispensing uses. The pack is produced using two high barrier films: a semi-rigid forming web and a flexible top web.

The Butterfly Pack is handled in one hand for dispensing the content. The pack folds and snaps open when it’s opposite edges are squeezed towards each other, thus offering a controlled dispensing of the contents. Ampac’s Butterfly Pack can be utilized for any type of liquid and flowable wet product, including condiments, food additives, hand sanitizers, shampoos, cleaners, lotions, creamers, beverage flavorings and others.

The Butterfly Pack offers a wide range of benefits, including enhanced image quality, lower costs compared to tubes and bottles, controlled dispensing and accurate product dosing. The controlled dispensing helps to eliminate accidental spills and precise dosing prevents product overfill. EasySnap 3 Machine is the machinery used to produce the new flexible packaging. It is an automatic form-fill-seal machine that produces a four-sided sealed package.

EasyPack Solutions, a Canadian company, has approved Ampac as the film supplier and the company holds the exclusive license to market Ampac’s new packaging technology in North America. Quebec-based Knowlton Development has offered contract manufacturing to produce and fill Butterfly Pack for health and beauty products.
