Mohawk, a manufacturer of pre-finished solid and engineered hardwood floors, has introduced SmartStrand Silk, a revolutionary new carpet made using DuPont Sorona renewably sourced polymer. The company has used a flash mob to promote the new carpet.

The Sorona fiber from DuPont has enabled the flooring manufacturer to deliver another high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, softer carpet to consumers for use in their homes. According to a national survey, which was performed by Brandware Research in October 2011, 9 out of 10 users of SmartStrand said that they will purchase the carpet again.
