Vishay Intertechnology has introduced IECQ-CECC approved thick film chip resistors. These resistors are available with and without the lead content.
CRCW....EN802
The company provides these devices in two versions, namely Version A and Version E. Version A is EN 140401-802 approved and meets the demands of the industrial electronics industry. Version E is EN 140401-802 approved and is used in applications such as avionics, military and space. Version E devices are reliable and have an estimated failure rate level of E6.
The CRCW....EN802 provides termination plating made using pure tin on a nickel barrier. This barrier has been subjected to an intense testing program in order to offer protection against the growth of tin whiskers. The resistor meets the terms of the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC, and is well-suited with the soldering methods, which may be lead-bearing or lead-free.
SnPb termination plating has been provided by the D..EN802 resistor on a nickel barrier with 10% minimum lead content. Based on the matured technologies, customers optimize this version. Two newly launched devices are supplied in the 1206 and 0805 case sizes and offer 50 ppm/K, 100 ppm/K, and 200 ppm/K of TCR. The resistors have a range of resistance from 1 §Ù to 1 M§Ù and resistance tolerances of 5% and 1%.
Devices available in the 0805 case provide 0.125 W of rated power dissipation and 150 V of operating voltage. The resistors present in the 1206 case have 200 V of operating voltage and 0.250 W of rated dissipation.
