Honeycomb is a lightweight, but durable and strong kraft paper material, which is a cost-effective solution for wide packaging applications. The Honeycomb line has been provided by Salesmaster and includes custom-designed specialty packaging.
Honeycomb packaging line is specifically designed for roughness and strength. Separate kraft paper bands are united into a continuous hexagonal cell series. The cells are arranged facing on either side of the thick kraft resembling an I-beam type of construction. The core cell acts as its web and the panel facing acts as the I-beam flange. Compression and tension are dispersed by the flange across the panel’s surface to conserve contents and neutralize forces. The flanges are hold by the web to maintain the integrity and strength of the material.
The four basic styles of Honeycomb packaging are pressure sensitive, cookie cut, die cut and reverse slit score. This packaging is resistant to moisture. Salesmaster supports the packaging engineers in developing new Honeycomb products that were specifically designed to conduct certain packaging functions like support or cushioning.
