TMK Secures ISO 13679 CAL IV Certification for its Tubing with Premium Connections
TMK, a manufacturer of tubular products for use in the oil and gas industry, has announced that it has successfully received ISO 13679 CAL IV standard certification for its tubing along with TMK PF premium connections.
The company performed the certification tests at the Oil States Industries international testing center located in Aberdeen, UK.
As per the standard, TMK tubing threaded together with premium connections received its first certification. TMK-Premium Service carried out the testing qualification program and presented grade L80 threaded tubing along with TMK PF premium connections. Pipes underwent a compression level of up to 80%, during the testing program.
Sergei Bilan, TMK’s VP of Premium Products and Services stated that the certification secured by TMK PF premium connections for tubing and casing in line with the ISO 13679 CAL IV standard has given the company, an opportunity of providing all-inclusive pipe string that are entirely certified under this standard for using in the well. He added that the receipt of the certification has served as corroboration of the threads’ world quality level and has allowed the company to enter the supplier group of tubular products for use in offshore and onshore complex drilling.
