Sales of Malvern's Sub-Micron Particle Characterization System Outstrip Estimated Market Growth

Sales of the Zetasizer Nano, Malvern Instruments’ market leading system for submicron particle size measurement, protein characterization and zeta potential determination, continue to outstrip estimated market growth of 12%. There are rapid increases in all areas and particular success throughout the Americas, Europe and the Far East.

Nanometrics Product Manager, Malcolm Connah, attributes the success of the system to its ability to meet the equally demanding requirements of protein characterization and nanoparticle technology applications.

“Working to the extremely detailed results of a customer requirement survey, we brought together two new technologies for the measurement of size and zeta potential in a single, compact system. Most importantly, we did this without compromising the specifications of either technique. One of the major features of the system is its simplicity of operation, with customers telling us that just one hour’s training allows even novices to run the system and interpret results.”

The award winning Zetasizer Nano is now the system of choice for diverse applications ranging from optimizing protein crystallization to the development of high tech ceramic products.

Malcolm Connah again, “Another important factor in the worldwide sales growth is the level of applications and technical support provided by Malvern to customers wherever they are.”
