Optical Channel Monitor from Princeton Lightwave on Show at ECOC 2007

Optical Channel Monitor (OCM) from Princeton Lightwave.

AMS Technologies exhibits the Optical Channel Monitor (OCM) from Princeton Lightwave at ECOC 2007 in Berlin/Germany at booth # 15054.

The OCM provides critical data on optical transmission signals present in DWDM networks with a scan time of less than 100msec. It is based on a proven, patented technology for spectrum analysis that includes a fixed fiber grating and a high resolution detector array which results in an accuracy better than 50pm.

The recorded data can be used to determine system functionality, identify performance drift or as feedback data for controlling telecommunication network elements. The OCM is designed to cover a wide range of spectral bandwidths and channel spacing applications (100, 50 and 25 GHz).
