Demonstration of Admet’s ASTM D1876 T-Peel Adhesive Peel Test

This video shows how to run Admet’s ASTM D1876 T-Peel adhesive peel test. For the T-Peel test, the bonded substrates should be flexible, so that the substrates can be bent up to a 90° angle without breaking.

The test is performed by clamping each end of the sample with the opposing tensile grips. Then the grips are pulled apart at a constant speed rate throughout the specimen’s length of about 9inch. Finally, the peak and average load per unit width of bond are recorded.
