Admet’s ASTM D1894 Coefficient of Friction Test

This video demonstrates Admet’s ASTM D1894 COF (coefficient of friction) test. ASTM D1894 is a testing standard employed for determining the friction of plastic film and sheeting. Using this test, the static and kinetic coefficient of friction of the test material can be measured.

For COF testing, Admet provides a wide range of grips and fixtures. This test is performed using a special fixture consisting of a sliding plane or plate and a sled. COF testing is usually carried out on a material, which is sliding over itself or on a different surface type.
