Researchers Demonstrate Stretchable, Conformable TFT driven LED Display Laminated into Textiles

Researchers from Holst Centre (set up by TNO and imec), imec and CMST, imec’s associated lab at Ghent University, have demonstrated the world’s first stretchable and conformable thin-film transistor (TFT) driven LED display laminated into textiles. This paves the way to wearable displays in clothing providing users with feedback.

Artificial Control of Electronic Phase Separation in Materials Paves Way for Advanced Technology Tools

Some of the highly advanced technology tools are made out of complex, hard materials comprising multiple components. However, the behaviour of these materials when subjected to magnetic fields, pressures and specific temperatures has not yet been fully explored. A team of researchers from LSU, University of Florida, Fudan University and the Collaborative Innovation Center of Advanced Microstructures, China, has performed studies on materials that divide into various regions by the electronic phase separation method.

Michell Offers Accurate Trace Oxygen Analyzer for Cryogenic Air Separation

The XZ400TS series oxygen analyzer has proved itself to be a valuable instrument for quality control in cryogenic air separation. A leading European industrial gas company carried out tests with the instrument and it reliably operated at an accuracy of 0.1ppmV using a 10.5ppmV test gas, with the unit displaying exactly 10.5ppmV.
