Archway Sales to Distribute BASF’s Polyurethane Chemicals

BASF announced that it has appointed Archway Sales Inc., as a distributor for polyurethane chemicals to the Coatings, Adhesives & Binders, Sealants and Elastomers (CASE) market in the Ohio valley. Effective January 1, 2014, Archway will be a national distributor for the CASE market.

Alcoa Expands Tennessee Operations to Meet Increasing Aluminum Demand for Auto Production

Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander, Congressman John Duncan and other local and state officials joined Alcoa Chairman and CEO Klaus Kleinfeld today to break ground on a $275 million expansion of Alcoa’s Tennessee Operations to meet growing aluminum demand for auto production. Aluminum, already the number two material used to build cars, is expected to nearly double by 2025.

Specialty Urethane Polyols Producer, Oxid, Acquired by Huntsman

Huntsman Corporation announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the business of Oxid L.P., a manufacturer and marketer of specialty urethane polyols in Houston, Texas, for an amount of up to $75 million. Oxid generated $86 million of revenue in 2012.
