Bombardier’s Advanced Composite Wings to Undergo Complete Airframe Static Test

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that the cockpit and all fuselage sections for the CSeries aircraft's first flight test vehicle (FTV1) have arrived at Mirabel, Québec, and that the assembly of FTV1 is in progress. Additionally, the first wings for the all-new CSeries aircraft are now being mated to the test airframe that will be used during the Complete Airframe Static Test (CAST).

BASF Announces Acquisition of Certain Assets of Ciech’s Toluene Diisocyanate Business

BASF and Ciech today announced the acquisition of parts of Ciech’s global TDI (toluene diisocyanate) business by BASF. The acquisition is subject to approval by the appropriate antitrust authorities. Closing of the transaction is expected in the first quarter of 2013. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
