A team of researchers under the guidance of Prof. LIU Shengzhong from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dr XU Zhuo from Shaanxi Normal University (SNNU) developed a method for synthesizing large-sized two-dimensional (2D) perovskite single crystals (PSCs) to realize highest photodetector performance among this type.

University of Queensland (UQ) vets can now use 3D printed models of dog skulls to help save animals and educate veterinary students in the future. Machine learning methods have been used by researchers to precisely predict the mechanical characteristics of metal-organic frameworks, or MOFs, which can be used for storing toxic gases, or extracting water from the air in the desert, or powering hydrogen-based cars.
