The Clemex CMT Automated Microhardness Testing Machine

Ben Gagnon from Clemex demonstrates their CMT Automated Microhardness Testing Machine. This instrument is suited to the evaluation of heat treated metal, weld joints etc.

Control via PC allows the user to set the CMT up to automatically take a series of measurements across the surface of a sample, using either Knoop or Vickers hardness testing methods.

Image analysis software measures the indents, calculates the hardness and can then provide statistical analysis. Data can also be exported to spreadsheets or other applications.
