Testing Composite Tow using AutoX750 Extensometer from Instron

This video shows tensile testing of composite tow specimens using AutoX750 Extensometer from Instron to ASTM D4018 standard from Instron. These tow specimens can prove to be difficult to test due to their geometry and delicate nature.

The AutoX 750 provided accurate data while maintaining the repeatability needed when testing composite tows. The AutoX 750 extensometer has increased throughput and reduces operator influence in the testing process.
