CT6 Cobot Configured for Torsion Testing

Instron's CT6 automation platform can be integrated onto torsion capable systems increasing the range of applications. In the pharmaceutical industry, many container closures utilize threaded connections for preventing accidental separation. This system is evaluating the unscrewing torque for luer tip caps, defined by ISO 11040-4 Annex G.5. Introducing automation removes operator influence from misalignment and reduces the burden for the operator to load and unload the entire sample, allowing them to dedicate their time to more important tasks.
