EOI Develops Unique Synthetic Diamond Ozone Technology

A unique boron-doped synthetic diamond ozone technology, which enables an innovative range of compact sanitizing products, is developed by Electrolytic Ozone (EOI). The synthetic diamond electrode equipped at the center of the EOI’s Active Diamond Electrolytic Process Technology (ADEPT) provides higher reliability and sanitizing power in a highly compact cell and greater user safety than the coated synthetic diamond electrodes.

In addition, the unique solid diamond electrodes are more efficient as compared to platinum coated electrodes and do not have any stability and safety issues, which are found in plague lead oxide electrodes. These electrodes do not suffer from de-plating or embrittlement.

EOI’s boron-doped synthetic diamond technology enhances the reliability and life of the ozone cells. The symmetric electrodes contribute to a large amount of ozone generation, even in hard water. A higher current density can drive the solid synthetic diamond electrodes and it allows greater efficiency, higher concentration and increased sanitizing power. Additionally, the electrodes offer extremely small aperture spacing, which is unavailable with coated electrodes. They provide considerably lower off-gassing, thus increasing safety of the users. The solid boron-doped diamond ozone production technology can be implemented in two innovative products of EOI: SB100-Industrial, a sanitizing spray bottle, and the Franke Ice Sanitation Technology.

The sanitizing spray bottle will be used as a replacement for chemical sanitizers in commercial kitchens and restaurants. The Franke Ice Sanitation Technology is developed for commercial ice machines and it keeps the ice bin and nearby areas free from common pathogens.
