Major Japanese Solar Power Plant Project Places Order for 43 MW of Canadian Solar PV Modules

Canadian Solar Inc. (the "Company" or "Canadian Solar"), one of the world's largest solar power companies, today announced that it has been awarded a module supply agreement to provide 43MW of photovoltaic ("PV") modules to the second largest solar power plant project in Japan.

Novelis Commissions New Aluminium Slitting and Packing Line at Aluminium Norf

Novelis, the world leader in aluminium rolling and recycling, today announced the commissioning of a new aluminium slitting and packing line at Aluminium Norf GmbH (Alunorf), its joint-venture facility in Neuss, Germany. With an investment of approximately 15 million Euros, it will increase the plant’s finishing capacity for beverage can sheet.

KWG Proposes to Acquire Chromium Intellectual Property

KWG Resources Inc. ("KWG") today announces that it has entered into an agreement to acquire fifty-percent of the ownership rights in two United States provisional patent applications (which include a fifty-percent interest in any of the vendor's associated intellectual property) (the "Chromium IP") relating to the production of chromium iron alloys directly from chromite ore, and the production of low carbon chromium iron alloys directly from chromite concentrates (the "Chromium IP Transaction").
