Novelis to Invest Additional $205 Million for Global Automotive Aluminum Capacity Expansion

Novelis, the world leader in aluminum rolling and recycling, today announced it will invest an additional $205 million to further expand its global manufacturing operations serving the rapidly growing automotive market. The company will build new finishing lines at its plants in Oswego, N.Y. and Nachterstedt, Germany, dedicated to the production of aluminum automotive sheet.

Air Products to Build New Liquid CO2 Plant at SIRE’s Iowa Facility

Air Products, one of the leading suppliers of liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) in the United States, today announced the signing of a long-term agreement for the production of liquid CO2 with Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC (SIRE). Air Products will build a facility to produce 400 tons per day (tpd) of liquid CO2 at SIRE’s established ethanol production facility in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Air Products will market food and beverage-grade liquid CO2 from the new plant that is expected to begin production in early 2014.
