Stratasys Ltd., a manufacturer of 3D printers and materials for personal use, prototyping and production, today announced that Società Progettazione Ingegnerizzazione SRL (Spring SRL) finalized the purchase of its seventh Stratasys' Fused Deposition Molding (FDM) 3D Printer at EuroMold 2013, through Italian reseller, Technimold.

3M -ECOPRO Agreement for Using Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt (NMC) Cathode in Lithium Ion Batteries

3M and Korea-based ECOPRO have entered into a patent license agreement that aims at further expanding the use of Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt (NMC) cathode materials in lithium ion batteries. Under the agreement, 3M grants a license to US6964828, US7078128, US8241791 and all global equivalents.

PPG Industries has expanded its aerospace business operations in Japan with the relocation of its application support center to a site in Miyoshi that supports increased production capacity, adds warehouse space and affords new service capabilities. The new site in Miyoshi Kurozasa Industrial Park includes a 1,994-square-meter manufacturing facility and office as well as an 890-square-meter stand-alone on-site warehouse.

Airgas to Build Second Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Bozrah, CT

Airgas, Inc., today announced plans to expand its atmospheric gas production capacity in New England by building a second air separation unit (ASU) in Bozrah, CT in order to meet the expected increase in demand for merchant gases across its diverse customer base in the region. The ASU, which will produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, will be operated by Airgas Merchant Gases and is expected to begin production in the fall of 2015.
