The applications are now invited for the Swedish Steel Prize 2012, an international prize that honors innovations in high strength steels. The main objective of the prize is to motivate and spread awareness about high strength steels and also the possibilities they offer to produce safer, lighter and more eco-friendly products.

BASF, a chemicals company, announced an investment of €150 million to establish a new chemical manufacturing facility in Gujarat, India.
