Tata Steel has announced that it will be closing down operations at its Llanwern-based facility manufacturing roll-formed assemblies and products that employs around 70 people.

BASF has planned for production increase of its Neopor insulation material at its Ludwigshafen location in distinct phases. The production capacity is scheduled to be increased by approximately 60,000 Mt every year from 2011 December and BASF aims to attain full production capacity by October in 2013.
