ADS’ Fourth Manufacturing Line at Saint-Germain Plant Produces Large Diameter, Open Profile Pipes

Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) has added a fourth manufacturing line to its Saint-Germain plant that is now producing large diameter, open profile pipe from 900 mm to 1500 mm. The plant is certified to produce N-12® corrugated HDPE pipe diameters from 100 to 900 mm with minimum pipe stiffness of 320 kPa when tested in accordance with ASTM D 2412.

Trelleborg to Acquire Pircher Alfred’s Industrial Tire Business

Trelleborg has, through its business area Trelleborg Wheel Systems, signed an agreement to acquire the industrial tire business of the Italian company Pircher Alfred s.a.s. The business specializes in the distribution and service of industrial tires, such as those fitted on forklift trucks. The acquisition further strengthens and enlarges Trelleborg’s European industrial tire distribution network.

KU Leuven Professor Awarded BASF-DECHEMA Alwin Mittasch Special Prize for Materials Research

Professor Dr. Pierre Jacobs, KU Leuven (Belgium), has received the BASF-DECHEMA Alwin Mittasch Special Prize for his research into materials and their use as process catalysts. The award, which comes with €10,000 in prize money, was presented at the “Future Loves History – 100 Years of Ammonia Synthesis” scientific symposium at BASF in Ludwigshafen.
