Minister to Open Australian Nanofabrication Facility

The Hon. Kim Carr, Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research will open a new nanofabrication facility that will encourage and promote the development of nanotechnology in Australia. The new facility will give industrial and univeristy researchers new levels of access to high end instruments and expertise to help them develop new technologies.

Leading Nanoelectronics Research Institute Makes Significant Progress in 3D Stacked IC Technology

IMEC recently demonstrated the first functional 3D integrated circuits obtained by die-to-die stacking using 5µm Cu through-silicon vias (TSV). It will now further develop 3D SIC chips on 200mm and 300mm wafers, integrating test circuits from partners participating in its 3D integration research program.
