Alternative Material to Silicon based Solar Cells - The New Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSC)

The Japanese are developing dye-sensitized solar cells (DSC) which does not require any silicon making it cost effective and can be mass produced to meet future market demand as solar cell usage increase. The current development method has overcome previous production challenges and meet up to the JIS standard
and the results are comparable to conventional silicon based solar cells.
