Siemens to Supply Integrated Drive System for Expansion of PT Holcim Indonesia Cement Plant in Java

Siemens has received an order from ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions AG to supply an Integrated Drive System for the expansion of PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk.'s cement plant in Java. As one of the top three cement producers in the country, with an annual production capacity of 8.2 million tons, the cement producer is expanding its facilities by a second production line. Upon completion it will have a daily capacity of 4,000 tons of cement. Operation is due to commence mid-2015.

DHL to Transport Airbus Aircraft Components from Germany to the U.S.

DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist within Deutsche Post DHL, has signed a contract with aircraft manufacturer Airbus to provide transportation of A319, A320 and A321 aircraft components and general cargo from the Airbus production site in Hamburg, Germany, to Airbus’ final assembly line in Mobile, Alabama. DHL will provide a multimodal transport solution with air, ocean and road freight services beginning in 2015.
