PSA Peugeot Citroën Awards Core Supplier Title to BASF Coatings

BASF Coatings has been awarded the title of “core supplier” by the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group. In the continuity of the deployment of its “Excellence in Supplier Relationship” approach, Jean-Baptiste Formery, Purchasing Executive Director Vehicle Components at PSA Peugeot Citroën presented this honor to Oliver Homolle, President of Business Center West and President of BASF France, who accepted it on behalf of the company.

MWV Acquires Corrugated Packaging Materials Company Ruby Macons

MeadWestvaco Corporation, a global leader in packaging and packaging solutions announced the completion of the purchase of Ruby Macons Limited (“Ruby Macons”). The India-based producer of high-quality corrugated packaging materials becomes a central component of MWV’s packaging platform in India and a key element of the company’s plans to grow in emerging markets. The transaction was completed on Nov. 30, 2012 and financial results for Ruby Macons will now be reported as part of MWV’s Industrial Packaging segment.

Dow Creates 42 High Performance Packaging Products in 2012

Dow Performance Packaging, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, announced today it has reached a new innovation milestone by creating 42 new products for the high performance packaging sector in 2012 – achieving a run rate of nearly one new product per week in the year. These new and expanded lines of high performance resins, films and adhesive products are expected to deliver more than 100 million pounds of new business in North America alone in 2013 and further shifts Dow participation into higher value applications.
