Demonstration of the xSORT Handheld XRF Analyzer from Spectro Analytical

In this video John Kelly and Dan Soisson from Spectro Analytical demonstrate the xSORT handheld x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer. This portable unit is ideally suited to rapid throughput metals sorting and identification such as in scrap yards and stainless steel warehousing.

The xSORT incorporates a silicon drift detector allowing light metals to be resolved. In quick sort more, the xSORT can produce accurate results for alloys without light elements in 2 seconds. With light element detection on, metal analysis can be completed in 10 seconds.

The xSORT also incorporates Bluetooth connectivity, so analysis from the portable handheld unit can be transmitted to your computer without having to carry it around with you.

In the demonstration a stainless steel alloy is analyzed as well as a titanium alloy.
