DuPont Showcases Automotive Materials at Hong Kong Auto Show

As a material supplier to the automotive industry, DuPont was invited to participate in the first International Auto Parts & Accessories Fair and Conference (IAPAF) held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Leveraging the One DuPont approach, the DuPont booth showcased auto parts made with materials from various business units, including: Engineering Polymers, Performance Elastomers, Fluoropolymers and Packaging & Industrial Polymers.

IAPAF 2006 connected leading auto parts manufacturers under one roof, creating a one-stop trading platform for both original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and after-market producers to exchange technology, explore cooperation opportunities and establish business networks.

The event attracted more than 150 exhibitors from China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, India, Australia, UK and the US. It featured 12 exhibit categories, focusing on OEM items ranging from engines, chassis and electronic parts to after-market products, including tools and accessories and maintenance services.

"Our participation in this event demonstrates to the government and the industry that we are ready and committed to supporting the growth of the industry with our full spectrum of offerings," said Joseph Wong, president, DuPont Hong Kong.
