A material with such an unusual combination of properties could have a wide range of applications starting from military armor to aerospace engineering.

Researchers Successfully Image Quasiparticles that Could Lead to Faster Electrical Circuits

A Research group, headed by Zhe Fei from Iowa State University, has captured the first images of half-light, half-matter quasiparticles known as exciton-polaritons.
