Compact Ion Trap Mass Spectrometer for Remote Operations at Pittcon 2013

This video shows a presentation on an advanced mass analyzer which has no moving parts at Pittcon 2013. The mass spectrometer is sturdy, cost-effective and can be remotely operated. It can be used for direct sampling and alternative front-ends.

The instrument also detects trace amounts of chemicals that are dangerous to first responders and field personnel. Data can be sent instantly to a remote site for real-time analysis.
