Overmolding of Filigree Metal Pins from ARBURG

This video shows the overmolding of filigree metal pins with plastics by injection molding machine from Arburg GmbH. The robotic systems and peripherals which are extremely fast and precise are used for handling of the delicate inserts. ARBURG has designed a production cell for the fully automatic volume production of internal conductors, overmolding up to 72,000 pins per day.

The production cell is built around ALLROUNDER 370 H a hybrid injection molding machine with electro-mechanical dosage drive and position regulated screw. The cycle time is approx. 20 seconds. The parts are collected by each cavity via a tube distribution system.
